Postcards from the edge
Diamonds beneath our feet.

Hi folks,
I came across Sylvii making up her cocoon in a cactus head three feet from my front door. I am not particularly fond of spiders either, but if we look beyond our primal fears and into her world it is undeniably beautiful.

_____________________________________I have a friend who has the luxury of travelling the world to many exotic places and cities all in the pursuit of photography, what a life eh ? All he has to do in return is a massive amount of hard work :-)
Well one day my cosmopolitan friend asks me;
Brian do you not think that you are going to run out of things to photograph on this tiny little island on the edge of the world ?
My response was that how could I ? as that even where we stood there was infinite beauty offering itself up for the taking for anyone quiet enough to listen. Should we branch out further into this little island and its larger scale offerings, in a lifetime of daily exploration we could never exhaust what is offered up for discovery.
A fact proven time and time again as we move through this life, all we have to do is lift up our heads and listen.
"The artistīs world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where they live or a few feet away. Itīs always on our doorstop."
Paul Strand
